With our virtual office you can almost do almost everything you could do at our office. This starts with our online appointment requests, appointment reminders by phone, e-mail or texting, on-line payments, patient and treatment information, and downloading various forms.
i-CAT
| Our i-CAT x-ray machine, known as Cone Beam Computed Tomography or CBCT, is the most advanced x-ray technology available in a dental setting. The i-CAT generates its information in 3-D allowing Dr. Wood the ability to look at the teeth and mouth in all directions. This is very helpful in designing treatment plans and finding various forms of pathology. Using this technology you can even watch your teeth move to projected outcomes before starting treatment! |

Since the incorporation of the i-CAT as part of our office we have been able to reduce the amount of exposures to our patients due to the information achievable from a single scan as fast as 4.8 seconds, which is great for even our most fidgety patients. We no longer need to do a combination of a panoramic film (17-20 seconds), cephalometric film, and other films in order to get enough diagnostic information to develop a thorough treatment plan. SureSmile

The optional SureSmile technology can possibly reduce treatment time over traditional orthodontics by 4-8 months. With some patients this technology has cut their treatment time in half, but this does not apply to everyone. We do this by custom designing wires on a computer and having a robot bend the wires to almost 100% accuracy using high-tech wires. This in turn can reduce the number of visits needed between adjustments and shorten treatment time. Click here for a news story on this technology.

Clear Aligners
We also offer clear braces, high-tech wires and brackets, and the innovative technology of ClearCorrect and Invisalign; revolutionary systems which use clear aligners to straighten your teeth.
Other technologies we employ for our patient’s are:
- Computerized check-in to expedite notice of your arrival.
- Dry heat sterilizers for all of our instruments and pliers after each use.
- Weekly off-site monitoring of our sterilizers to ensure their efficacy in keeping our patients safe.
- Fresh chair-side water that is bottled daily along with flushing our water lines to ensure their cleanliness.
